Motivation

The upcoming MongoDB Go Driver documentation pages will be the canonical reference documentation. The API documentation will remain within the driver. There may be overlap and inconsistencies with driver reference documentation in doc.go files.

Scope

• Audit each doc.go file.
  • Link to pages on https://docs.mongodb.com/drivers/go/ where appropriate, and remove duplicated examples or information.
  • Abide by consistencies in the Go Driver Code Example Patterns and Style Reference
  • Create DOCSP tickets for desired changes to MongoDB Go Driver documentation pages.
• Add a link to https://docs.mongodb.com/drivers/go/ from README.md to encourage new users to start reading documentation there.
