We were offered ownership of Flask-PyMongo by the developer of the project, Dan Crosta (previous MongoDB employee). Given the project’s relative popularity and maturity, small size, and alignment with our larger MongoDB + Flask initiative, this was a good opportunity for us.

We would like to do a 3.0 release of Flask-PyMongo.
