Summary of necessary driver changes

As per the Drivers Compatibility & Maintenance policy, Version compatibility changes will be communicated at least one minor version (Y) before compatibility with a version is removed.

The forthcoming compatibility change (dropping support for server version 4.0) MUST be documented in the changelog, preferably in bold or highlighted text.
