Hi Kafka Team,
My name is Alek Binion and I am a member of the Developer Education team. One of our readers for the Kafka Docker Example experienced an issue going through the example.
Here is the output they provided for the issue:
Starting a Gradle Daemon (subsequent builds will be faster)
Task :compileBuildConfig FAILED
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
- What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':compileBuildConfig'.
java.lang.IllegalAccessError: class org.gradle.internal.compiler.java.ClassNameCollector (in unnamed module @0x7f22f634) cannot access class com.sun.tools.javac.code.Symbol$TypeSymbol (in module jdk.compiler) because module jdk.compiler does not export com.sun.tools.javac.code to unnamed module @0x7f22f634
I tried to reproduce the error and wasn't able to do it. Does anyone on the Kafka team have a sense of what this reader may be experiencing?
Thanks, Alek
