The command rails generate mongoid:config emits a message that config/mongoid.yml is nonexistent.
This command's purpose is to create that file, so that message is needlessly disconcerting:
$ rails generate mongoid:config Mongoid config not found. Create a config file at: config/mongoid.yml to generate one run: rails generate mongoid:config create config/mongoid.yml
The versions I'm running are:
$ gem list mongoid mongoid (3.1.3) $ rails -v Rails 3.2.13 $ ruby -v ruby 1.9.3p392 (2013-02-22 revision 39386) [i686-linux]
