      Once the 8.x end-of-life notice (MONGOID-6021) has shipped, publish a Mongoid release support policy so future end-of-life dates follow a stated rule rather than a one-off announcement. Parent: RUBY-3961.

      • Aligns with the agreement to deprecate everything up to 9.0 with messaging in Q1 2027.

      • Policy is drafted and reviewed (including Rishabh Bisht).
      • Policy is published after the 8.x notice has shipped.
