Mongosh behaves differently from legacy shell when username is not specified

      As discussed in the comment section here: https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/MONGOSH-1059, the legacy shell attempts to connect as "unauthenticated" if the username is not passed, even when `authMechanism` is set.
