In Compass, mongosh and devtools-shared, we attempt to replace the usage of lerna in npm scripts (and other scripts) with the corresponding built-in npm commands. We then will attempt to upgrade lerna to the latest known version. If this turns out to come with significant complexity (the relevant dependabot PR does not pass CI currently), we will consider replacing lerna with a custom script that we put into the devtools-shared repo.
