There was no specific reason we did not add startup parameters to the shell for Azure and GCP. It is really just an oversight. I don't have plans to add them at this time. There is a belief in my team that the death of the shell is imminent and we should not do more work.

I guess that means it's worth discussing whether we add options of our own for these providers for parity with AWS support.
