There is a lot of churn in keeping motor up to date with pymongo (see MOTOR-1479 and MOTOR-1480), and it has reached end of life as of May 14th, 2026. I propose we update the supported versions to pymongo>=4.9,<4.18, and run the synchro tests against 4.17 instead of the latest git checkout.
