Synchro tests time out on Mac in Evergreen

      Hard to diagnose: in Evergreen on the Mac OS X 10.10 builders, "tox -e synchro" hangs for 30 minutes until killed by Evergreen. It works on my Mac OS X 10.12 box and on Linux in Evergreen. Awaiting access to a Mac builder machine to diagnose.
