Type checking on v4.9.0 takes 50x more time

      What problem are you facing?

      After upgrading to `mongodb` v4.9.0 our private monorepo at Plex is now taking 50 minutes to run the `tsc` binary. Downgrading `mongodb` to v4.8.1 brings this time back to < 1 minute.

      What driver and relevant dependency versions are you using?

      mongodb v4.9.0

      typescript v4.7.4

      node.js v18.7.0

      Steps to reproduce?

      Not possible due to private repository.

      Any ideas on how we can run `tsc` to print debug information on where it's spending more time?
