      Implementation Requirements

      • Refactor ConnectionPool.checkOut to use async/await syntax and update all references
      • Replace WaitQueueMember.callback with explicit resolve and reject properties

      Testing Requirements

      • Ensure all existing tests pass
        • Update any tests that expect ConnectionPool.checkOut to take a callback
