      Deploy an npm package based on the work done by alex.bevilacqua@mongodb.com in this PR. The maintainers of the repository declined merging and suggesting self-publishing the package.

      There is also a Python PR. Some functions diverge between the Python and TS PRs so it's ideal align for consistency as explained in the scope document:
