      In PYTHON-356, pymongo was changed to never resolve "localhost" to IPv6 to avoid slow connection failures on Windows. This behavior is not intuitive and leads to bugs like this:

      We should investigate if there is a way for pymongo to resolve "localhost" to IPv6 while avoiding slow connection failures on Windows.
