      Summary

Python 3.11 is planned to be released in October, 2022. This ticket is for keeping track of all the work/testing that we would be doing across all the 3 main libraries (PyMongo, Motor, PyMongoArrow) as well as our auxiliary libraries to ensure they are compatible with Python 3.11 version.

      Motivation

Who is the affected end user?

All MongoDB users running Python 3.11

How does this affect the end user?

Based on my conversation with Python engineers, there doesn't seem to be any feature related work that we would need to do, mostly it's going to be testing work.

How likely is it that this problem or use case will occur?

      Main path? Edge case?

If the problem does occur, what are the consequences and how severe are they?

Minor annoyance at a log message? Performance concern? Outage/unavailability? Failover can't complete?

      Is this issue urgent?

Is this ticket required by a downstream team?

Is this ticket only for tests?

Is this ticket have any functional impact, or is it just test improvements?
