      Context

      Split off from PYTHON-3992 as a first step. We should update to the latest type checkers and implement the overloads for with_options to fix their typing. Adding the type defaults is a more invasive change that might need to wait for a major release based on my initial attempt.

      Definition of done

      Update type checkers and add overloads for the with_options methods.
