Explicitly test drivers on Graviton processors

    • Hide

      DRIVERS-2436:
      Recommended driver changes

      • Run a patch build to test servers versions 4.2-latest with topologies single+replicaset+sharded on Graviton. (Example in C driver)
      • Test only the latest server version continuously to check for regressions.

      References

      • The server supports ARM Amazon Linux on 4.2-latest. See MongoDB Platform Roadmap.
      • Use the Evergreen distros amazon2023-arm64-latest-large-m8g and amazon2-arm64-latest-large-m8g.
        • amazon2023-arm64-latest-large-m8g supports 7.0-latest.
        • amazon2-arm64-latest-large-m8g supports 4.2-7.0.
        • These distros do not-yet show in the Evergreen UI. But they can be used for patch builds and spawned from the CLI. Example: evergreen host create --distro amazon2023-arm64-latest-large-m8g --key "[my key]".

      2. Would you like the user to see examples of the syntax and/or executable code and its output?
      3. Which versions of the driver/connector does this apply to?
