      Context

      On Ubuntu 24, mongo-orchestration stop fails to properly kill the child process. However, if I run os.kill(pid, SIGTERM) from a python prompt, it does kill properly.

      Definition of done

      Identify why the stop command does not work on Ubuntu 24.
