      Context

We should add RHEL9 to the Python toolchain. We found out as part of DEVPROD-22799 that the version of libzstd in RHEL8 is not supported by Python 3.14 for the compression.zstd optional module. We'll need RHEL to support zstandard as part of PYTHON-5522.

      Definition of done

Add RHEL9 to the toolchain and use where appropriate.

      Pitfalls

RHEL9 only supports MongoDB 6.0+, so we may need to tweak our tasks/variants to choose RHEL9 for 6.0+ and RHEL8 for older server versions, and make sure we're testing zstandard on both RHEL8 and RHEL9 to test with and without availability of compression.zstd.
