Starting with 2.16.0, we will no longer be backporting bug fixes or features into older release branches (e.g. 2.15, 2.14). Instead, bug fixes will only be applied to the latest stable branch and the upcoming feature branch.

Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis depending on severity, customer impact, etc.

Security issues are not affected by this change and may be backported to older branches as necessary.
