Server selection fails despite having a selectable server

      This only affects 2.0.0-alpha.

      There is currently a bug in server selection which causes server selection to time out even when suitable servers are available. I believe it is caused by a race between subscribing to topology updates after a failed selection attempt and the updates actually occurring.
