Matt Broadstone, Kate, and I had a talk about the legacy mongo shell and one of the topics was about how hard it would be moving away from javascript and the answer is that it would be very hard. I should document what we talked about so people better understand why we are using moving forward with javascript and what it would take for us to move away from it.
