Currently timeseries collections are implemented as "special" entities in the local catalog composed by a view (the user visible namespace) backed by a buckets collection (containing the actual measurements).

This ticket is about trying to achieve a straightforward basic implementation of timeseries without views in order to uncover potential blocking issues that may arise when working in the near future on the actual well-designed and tested implementation.
