After SERVER-105755, this ticket is now focused on requiring explicit RecoveryUnit parameter for the RecordCursor interface. The RecordStore interface pretty much has two overloaded versions, one with RecoveryUnit and one without. SERVER-105771 will be removing the old version without the RecoveryUnit parameter.
