We should add a new section or page explaining the internal details of checkMetadataConsistency, including how it interacts with sharded cluster nodes, its workflow, the consistency checks it performs, and the types of inconsistencies it can detect.

While we do have public documentation covering the syntax of checkMetadataConsistency, how to run it, and the types of inconsistencies it can detect, we should expand on this for our internal documentation.
