The default value of skipAuthenticationToSearchIndexManagementServer is currently true, which causes issues for self managed versions of mongot when auth is enabled. Users now have to explicitly set the value of this parameter to false when they want to use auth. If this option is not explicitly set to false when auth is configured users will face errors and/or not be aware that no authentication is performed when index management commands are issued.

This is an URGENT request for a backport to the soonest available version of 8.2 to align with the release of the mongot public preview for Community Edition and Enterprise Server.
