We do not have internal documentation for change streams-related architecture and code that targets core server developers.
We should create such documentation inside the docs/ directory, with references to the code. This will make it easier for people inside the core server org to onboard on change streams development.
It will also make it easier for outside teams that are users of change streams to understand implementation details if required.
