SERVER-105873 could have been found if we had a PBT or fuzzer variant that ran queries in parallel with index drops. We can include other parallel operations, like creating and dropping collections, modifying indexes and documents
If catalog data is held in the plan cache (SERVER-112204), we could model queries so they use the plan cache consistently.
