      Follow-up work from SERVER-113172 that could not be completed in time for the milestone 4 demo. The goal is to ensure that path resolution work properly in the presence of join predicates involving dotted fields and potentially referencing the output of the previous lookup.

      As a start, here is partially written testcase - path_resolution.js.
