When enabling viewless timeseries coverage to FCV upgrade/downgrade suites, we added a workaround to skip all tests that check the viewless timeseries feature flag since it's racy (e.g. the flag may be enabled on the check but the cluster may be downgraded immediately afterwards, so the test can not reliably conclude anything from it).

However, this skips the full test even though only a small part is feature flag dependent so we should implement a more granular approach to keep coverage.
