mongos utilizes the RSM to track its view of shard topologies, but its currently only possible to track this view via log messages. Similar to what replica set members report about their fellow set members, we should introduce new metrics to FTDC (and possibly serverStatus) to report the SDAM state of the shards from mongos at least, but possibly also from shards.
