Start with creating a write-heavy workload that performs an extremely large amount of inserts, updates, and deletes, adapted from any existing write-heavy workloads. Investigate if metadata checkpoint falls behind the heavy write workload. 

Consider if this should be incorporated as a sys perf workload in the end. If so, file a separate PERF ticket for it.
