As part of investigations for HELP-91584 and AF-7391 I think it could be helpful to add some more logging to the setFCV command or move debug logging to the info level for any steps that could hang or be long running. For example, before here. For example, in this HELP ticket I believe the setFCV command is running and hanging somewhere but it is hard to determine where just based on the logs.

I think adding more logging could be helpful for determining approximately where we are in the setFCV process when stack traces are not available.
