People/AIs are being tricked into thinking we have read failures when we dont.

Some thoughts:

• Hold off on logging until the read completes, not mid-failure
• log something like "Successfully read cross-cell" and say the failing cells and the succeeding ones.
• Separate read failures from connection-maintenance messages.
