Aside from the effort calculation, the biggest unknown to this design is whether using a rust based library within mongod is feasible. 

This spike is to investigate how easy it is to package some rust code and execute it from within mongod.

Time box this effort to 2 weeks.

Acceptance criteria:

• Build and use the CMS Rust driver within PALI as a PoC
• Understand & Document the build changes required for mongod

Non Goal

• This is a PoC and not production code, it should not be merged to master nor any permanent change made.
