Preserve 2.4 configuration defaults in rpms and debs

      Because packages will most likely be uninstalled and reinstalled when upgrading to 2.6, for consistent user experience, the following should be preserved from 2.4:

      • user
      • group
      • init script location
      • log directory
      • dbpath
