SERVER-130272 caused test failures after removing the in-memory setting of allowChunkOperation flag on commitCollectionMetadataLocally(). These lines were reintroduced on SERVER-130400 to stop the failing tests.
The goal of this ticket is to understand why tests failed after removing those lines.
