After the recent WiredTiger changes that provide better estimation of the number of pages, we are faced with a situation where collections collected previously will not have that information.

So in general it would be nice to have a join optimization test that does not always load fresh data, but uses pre-populated old-version archives or loads the data using an old mongod version before upgrading.
