We don't currently have a "spawn host" feature on PPC machines. Developers need to request access to a specific PPC dev machine, then build re-build mongodb there.
The shared libraries on the dev machine seems to have different build IDs from the shared libraries on the hosts used to run evergreen patches, which makes debugging with a core dump difficult to impossible. This would be a problem for hard to reproduce crashes.
I think at a minimum, we should ensure that the shared libraries have matching versions across the PPC machines.
