In the process of doing SERVER-130907 (CVE fix), some extra changes (specifically this commit: https://github.com/10gen/mongo/commit/0def20cdf1584152f9e97342c0087655a81d27d7 were made on master branch after the changes were already committed to 9.0/8.3. The changes weren't added to 8.3/9.0 since it was found on a 8.3 PR and 9.0 was already merged in. These changes are pretty self-contained improvements to logs/tests and easy to cherry-pick. We should consider backporting this commit to 9.0/8.3 to make the change equivalent on all branches.
