Add an OTel metric such as repl.internodeConsistency.sizeDeltaMismatch.{update,delete} for the size checks in oplog application. For example, see here.

Note that we don't have a corresponding check for inserts because the size is derived from the document in the oplog and thus the check would be vacuously true.
