Product would like to answer the following questions, given that the query-time numCandidates parameter will be made optional:

• Did users specify numCandidates or omit this parameter?
• If the value is omitted, what was the system-calculated numCandidates value?

We will capture the above information by doing the following:

• Add add a new boolean flag that shows whether the numCandidates was computed or not (if the value is not a float submitted by the user, then it was calc by system)
• add a new metric which only records the computed numCandidate value (get queryStats updated to show the computed value of numCandidates). Currently the numCandidatesLimitRatio is recorded, but unless the computed value also passes through this metric, we will not be able to resolve the system computed value
