The following comment is incorrect. This was a stale comment accidentally merged in https://github.com/10gen/mongo/pull/58290.
* It also marks the operation exempt from query-memory load shedding, so a $merge/$out write (which * is not routed through PlanExecutor::executeWrite) cannot be shed mid-write. The exemption is a * one-way latch, so the operation stays exempt afterward; the read side upstream of the write * (which runs before this block is ever entered) stays sheddable.
