      Summary

      Pull the additional-transaction-participants buffering out of AsyncResultsMerger::_handleBatchResponse into a named private helper, so the transaction-router plumbing is out of the way for the per-remote async-work refactor that follows. Pure extraction: single caller, behavior preserved exactly.
