On 32 bit Windows system, download and install MongoDB ZIP installer for Community edition

follow the instructions from http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/tutorial/install-mongodb-on-windows/#configure-a-windows-service-for-mongodb and install a service for MongoDB

run net start MongoDb, and ensure that it started service successfully

run net stop MongoDB, and ensure that it stopped the service successfully

now re-install the service using --reinstall

notice that it does not error out

run net start MongoDB

you get following error:

The service name is invalid.

Trying to use --reinstall for Windows service following the instructions from http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/tutorial/install-mongodb-on-windows/#configure-a-windows-service-for-mongodb , only removes the service but does not install it again
