      Shutting down the shell produces a series of ASAN messages. I compiled my shell with

      scons -j26 --ssl --dbg=on --opt=off --build-fast-and-loose=of
f --sanitize=address,undefined --allocator=system VARIANT_DIR=autosconsSAN CXX="
ccache clang++" CC="ccache clang
