mongo resident memory higher than my data size

      [root@xxx]# du -sh /data/app_data/mongodb/data/
      28G /data/app_data/mongodb/data/

      centos 6.5 and mongo version 2.6.8

      all of my data file size only 28G ， but resident memory close to 38G .

      may somebody can help to explain this ?

      soryy for my english and this's my first question ..lol
