This could be exposed in a new command or via the existing collStats; it would be nice if it included the number of index entries, extent map, and optionally some stats about the index distributions, number of buckets, clustering of values, bucket density, etc. The more metrics the more this sounds like it should be its own command which could be costly to calculate.
