    Description

The mongo shell keeps a history of all commands run in the file ~/.dbshell. With hundreds of such files in the home dir, this name doesn't really show it's for mongodb. I'd recommend to use something like ~/.mongo/dbshell or ~/.mongoshell to have some sort of idea what file to look for when trying to find your history file.
